Thanks for the reply. I really want one for a 40 or 60 size engine.
Where do you find the DARE kits? I have a Dare F9F Panther for electric. Haven't started it yet. Trying to decide what to power it with.
Thanks again

Kits are sold through LHS's. The Stinson is for electric or glow but probably not for a .40 or .60. As you can already see from the kit they are not for the novice builder.

Das,
Have you settled with IkonNwst kit? Aerodome Models made a beautiful kit in early 90's I believe it was. 74-76" two piece wing. It has all the vacuum formed pieces to represent the sheet metal surfaces as well as fairings, wheel pants and LG cuffs. It has a polyester green glass cowl. All nice hardware included. Not the cheesy stuff . Beautiful plans, very scale with basic stick type construction. I have had one in my stash for about 5-6 yrs. It took a couple years to find it and cost a couple dollars. But, well worth it. Let me know if interested. I may consider releasing her. I would have to think on it and the price be right. It is a high quality kit. I can dig up more info if need.

I have the Ikon kit for the Stinson 108, looked at it and may or may not, build it . The plans leaves a lot to be desired. I have only build kits up to know and the wing location were it attaches to the body has no exact postion to put it.
Read Ikon quality replies on this site i agree with there experience.

I'm currently finishing one now. Bought it here. Didn't realize what I was getting until I tried to carry the box into the house. It is heavy. In other threads I was advised to throw it out and start over. I'm going to finish it and fly it with a G-62. Bought a cowl and pants from Fiberglass Specialties and a decent landing gear, custom made. I re-engineered the fuse a whole lot. The design was poor. Wing joining method shown was the worlds worst. Cut holes everywhere to reduce material and also added diagonal bracing. It was pretty sad as designed. Now the finished plane (almost) looks great. iIhope the G-62 will make it work out. There are some good points in the kit, but not many.
