Hey Flyboy2,
I, too, have a Taurus Plus (it's my second one) and I noticed that you live in Dickson. I live in Bellevue (your side of Nashville). Is yours up and running??

Hey, just found this thread. I also have a Taurus Plus. Bought it back in '95 to use as a video platform, but never got around to finishing it. It's about ready to cover, now - just have to do some sanding in a few places. I was going to put my OS 1.60 flat-twin on it, but the 1.60 threw a rod when it was in my 1/4-scale Super Cub. Thinking about gas, now. - maybe a Saito FG 20 or FG 36.
Looks like it should be a great-flying ship with short-field capabilities, that's capable of carrying quite a load. Anyone who has some experience with flying one want to give their opinion on how it flies?
Joel

Hello, the TAURUS plus is a fairly common plane here, very good flyer, easy and forgiving.( cannot be otherwise, with that NACA 2418 airfoil is very close to his omonimous ancestor ..)
I have one too, still in the box, wich I plan to power with a ASP 108, but the most are powered with bigger engines, mainly for glider towing purposes .
here's a video about the maiden flight of a TAURUS 2 , same as 1' but with a glass fuse

I have a Scorpio Taurus Plus, ready to cover kit but i am missing the wing. I my try to scratch build it but would really like to come across one already built. i am thinking about seeing if a 15 to 20 cc gas would fit in the cowl.

I do think a 20cc would fit fine. My Taurus is about two airplanes down line from being built, but I plan on 20cc for mine, as well. This is my second Taurus, the first one I installed an Enya .80 2-stroke. It was fine, but not overpowered. Good luck on the wing!

I also have a Taurus Plus by Scorpio that I just started building. I have the little manual but no plans. Would sure help having the plans. I would pay for someone to copy their plans and send them or in a pdf file. Thanks, jr-dub64

jr-dub,
I'd be happy to do it. I'm out of the country until Saturday night. Afterwards, I'm off the entire rest of November and I can get them copied for you. Just send me your shipping address (I'll ship them in a USPS mailing tube).

Jr-Dub,
I apologize for the delay. Right after you and I last messaged each other we found out that my wife had breast cancer. It was found early and we've been dealing with doctors visits and surgery. Needless to say I was much delayed in getting the Taurus plans copied. I am copying them today. Hope you have a wonderful new year!

That is normally true for planes built on the plans; however, the Taurus Plus is already built [but not covered] and the plans are only used for reference. The actual instructions are printed on the sides of the plan sheet.
