Billmod12,
It looks very much like the "High-Q", designed by Jack Port. I say "very" because the horizontal stab on the model in your photos is located on the top rear of the fuselage. The "High-Q" had the stab mounted on the bottom of the fuse. I'm sure somebody will have a better guess than mine. Good luck.

I wonder about the date, for the radio at the feet of persons, does not appear old enough.

The slides I have were taken between 1952 and 1956 acording to the man who took the pics. Here is a couple more pics with cars in the back ground.

Don't know about the planes but I don't see a car that is newer than a 1953. My vintage in life. MAX H.

Pictures 1 and 2 in the second group is a Piper PA-22, and looking at the metal nose cowl, it might be a Sterling.

The plane in post 1 could be one of several or an orignal design. A lot of the orignal RC aircraft were modified free flight aircraft. Looking back through several books from the 50's it looks like any of the models in the books. You would have to find out if the person that took the orignal slides if he can remember what it is.

Cheers

I have also found that the plane in the first post looks similar to a lot of planes from that time frame. for example here are 2 more similar planes from the same meet that look similar. These pics were taken by my dads best friend back when they were flying. They are both 82 and in good health but do not remember the model names.
