1967? TF Nobler

I saw Ed Sweeney fly the prototype RC Nobler at Olathe Ks in 1968. The kit was released later that year so 1968 for the RC version.
The controlline version came out in the 50's about 1956/7 or thereabouts.
The difference was obvious between the 2. The RC version is a tri gear and has a removable equipment hatch.

So many different ways.
The Top Flite kit N-1 is a controlliner. If it is marked about $9.95 is is of mid to late 1960's era.
If it has a full label box with black lettering on red and white, it is of the early 1960's era. If it has a partial label over box, it is prior to 1960. Any colored style indicates end on 1960's to 1970's (and beyond). By about 1970 is cost $15.95 per kit.

Sounds as if the guys have things under control for you . They also made a Jr. Nobler U/C , only ever saw one fly ,kit #N-6. Looking at a 1969 TF ad in May Model Airplane News, no mention of R/C Nobler. Some one back then had a construction article on the R/C one & was not very flattering, very tricky to fly. U/C Nobler is & ever will be a monument to George Aldrich. MAX H.

I don't know the dates off hand. But go over to SSW forum and ask. These guys will know as accurately as possible. Several were friends of GMA's.
