trexler wheels question
Hi all,
The Trexler air tires on my recently aquired Lazy Bee are kind of low. The refill tubes seem to be stuck closed from age. Any tips on adding air?]

You might try rounding the end of a 1/16 piano wire and running that down the tube. If that doesn't work, replace them.

I have had some luck using a small ball driver & rolling the tube between my fingers . You may luck out . If you buy new Trexlers buy their air pump also . When not flying the plane for a extended time let the air out . Keeping them clean also keeps them from rotting . Good luck. MAX H.

Rub the filling tube between your thunb and finger rolling it back and forth. You may also tru squezzing the tube gently. It'll open up. I do not recommend pushing anything down the tube as I have pierced it trying to do so. I get at most two flying seasons out of Trexlers. I've tried all sorts of things to keep the rubber in good shape with no luck.

That can be a real pain. When on the shelf I deflated the tires and inserted the end of a bamboo cooking skewer into the filler tube to keep it open.

Right on TOWER ,they have the air pump also .Have put the air pump on the filler & pumped air in it while rolling the tube between my fingers . suck up a little talcum powder in the pump & put it in the tire when filling . I have Trexlers over 10 years old .Keep them clean & dry & they will last . They look neet on a old timer with a little tire patch on them !
I used to dope the hubs but they really soak up the dope ,now I hold the rubber back & Mono-coat the ends .Quicker ! Good luck . MAX H.

RE: trexler wheels question
Hi all and thanks for the tips!
Well they work now! Had to use the smallest ball driver I had and patiently worked that into the tube while rolling the tube at the driver's tip as it went in. I sure didn't like the price of new ones WHEWWWW!
They were very twisted close to the tube[:@]
