Thank you for posting this, MeowJPN. It brings back many memories. I had never seen an OS reed radio, but it appears to be of very advanced design compared to the reed radios with which I was familiar.

The transmitter is no doubt capable of "simultaneous" operation of some channels. If you wish, you may apply rudder and elevator control at the same. If I am correct, you will hear two reeds vibrating at the same time. The simultaneous sending of two tones has a very unique sound.

It is good to see your OS Minitron reed system working, well done. I also have an OS Minitron reed system, a 10 channel one. After some recently completed service work I have it fully working. Simultaneous operation of any left side channel with any right side channel should be possible, such as up elevator and rudder together for a spin. After replacing a dead germanium transistor in one of the audio oscillators I have the simultaneous operation working well. As otrcman says you get some distinctive beating sounds from the two different reed frequencies.

Thts' fine!
I was surprised because the one that made by about 50 years ago had moved.

"For a spin" ! I understand.
A wonderful maneuver was done in that age.Though I have not seen. because I am young....may be...
