Air Capital FB-100
 

I received a plane as a gift. In looking on Ebay at a 1982 Tower Hobbies catalogue, I found a picture that resembles my plane. I believe it to be a Air Capital FB-100. it is an ARF, fibreglass fuselage, 56.5" wingspan. Has anyone ever owned one of these? Any info would be appreciated.

I might be stretching my memory beyond what it's capable of but I believe the FB100 had an all plywood fuselage. Photos? The plane I'm thinking was always red and white in color and a low wing. The fuselage top was straight from front to the tail where the plywood was bent to form the fuselage.

You were absolutely right about the fuselage construction. It is a plywood fuselage. Today the person that gave me the plane sent me a picture from a Tower catalogue. Confirming what you said. He also told me that the FB stands for "Fun Bird". Thank you for your input. I'm looking forward to flying this bird next summer!

Here is a current piture of the FB100. I'm doing some wing repair at this time. Also, will be putting in modern radio gear.
