Vintage Fox Engines
Hello! I have recently acquired two "NIB" Fox engines (.25RC and .36RC) of an unknown vintage. As a kid in the 70's, I owned both of these engines but there were differences. The recently acquired engines have a bright metal finish, and exhaust butterfly valves that my originals were not equipped with. Does anyone here have information that would assist me in determining the actual period in which these engines were manufactured? Thanks! |

Here are three web sites you might check:
www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/enginemen.htm - Antique engine collectors/read the info and check the links www3.bc.sympatico.ca/fliteline Fox engine collectors site - not answering any e-mails - may be some links www.foxmanufacturing.com Fox website. I had a close friend that had been sales manager for Fox a while back (after Duke died) and wanted to buy the company but it didn't work out. He has since passed away so, sadly his expertise is now gone. Hope this helps. Marv |

Thanks Boo.... I've done a little research on these myself. Haven't been terribly successful, but have learned a bit. OS has a great "historical" site....wish Fox did too. I believe Duke wasn't big on keeping records. <G> Thanks for the leads.... Nite. |
