Question about Top-Flite T-34 Mentor kit

I have just bought a Top-Flite T-34 Mentor kit and have a question about the landing gear. if i use the wire landing gear that came with the kit could i change the set up so i can use air retracts in the future. thanks paul

RE: Question about Top-Flite T-34 Mentor kit

Your question was answered in the general Kit forum, and the responder was correct. It will be a difficult (not impossible) conversion. You'll have to perform major "surgery" on the wings and fuselage to install the retracts after you've had the fixed-gear installation done.

(edit for typos)

RE: Question about Top-Flite T-34 Mentor kit

Thanx Bax i will go with the air retracts for this plane and not even consider the wire junk that is supplied with it. not worth building the kit than later having to do some serious work. if im going to build it i may as well do it right from the start
