Default help please, lots of spinning but no thrust

not being a heli guy, this may be hard to follow.. i bent the main shaft, replaced it, along with the swashplate and the seesaw. Now I've got everything together, I tried it out... set it on the floor, powered up, and not much happened, we had blades spinning and all, but no thrust. I opened the throttle all the way and observed the heli almost squatting under full power but never leaving the ground. The blades are on right, the motor spins the right way...

what did I bone up? []

Did you go by the Heli-Max parts diagram in the manual to assemble the head? In the parts diagram they have the blade grips drawn in backwards. If the Heli is facing to your right (side view) the linkage on the blade grip should be on the blades trailing edge from the slide block. Easy to get this switched. It will drive the heli into the ground except in the air where she really wants to go.

Prontow!!! I think you just made it to the top of my christmas list...

the balls on teh blade grips should be trailing as the rotor spins?

how tight should the little screws be that hold the grips on to the head?

I like to make sure that the screws in the feathering shaft are good and snug, bear in mind that they are only 2mm and will not bear much force. A lot of fellow AXE CP owners have switched to a hex head screw, this makes it easer to work with.
I have had my head assy. apart so many times that I see the thing in my sleep now!
Check blade tracking after assembly, it will make a difference in vibration and how well it flys.
