Older transmitter with the axe
Trying to set up my Futaba FP-T8UAP transmitter to control my axe. I found some parameters here on setting up computer radios for the axe but I guess mine is a bit older and I am having troubles. The set up I am trying to use says to set the swash type to hr-3, mine only goes to Heli-2, and I am having a hell of a time. Anybody solve this one yet?? Thanks Storm

RE: Older transmitter with the axe
Do you still have the manual for the radio? Many older helis (and older designs like the ARK400) used discrete mechanical mixing for the rotor axes. The Axe uses CCPM, where the servos act directly on the swashplate and the transmitter processor does all the mixing instead. If the 8U doesn't have a CCPM mode, then you'll be out of luck. Specifically, it's 120 degree CCPM you're looking for.
