Default axe cp main and tail motor, what esc's to use??

i would like to get rid of the 3 in 1 in my AXE CP and not sure what esc's to use for both the main motor and tail? not sure what amp rating they should both be. also would like to buy them a little over rated just to make sure there are NO problems in the future with current cut-off. im also using a 3 cell lipo. thanks

Evo 20, Just right for the main, a little overkill for the tail, might as well get a GY240 gyro. for the tail.

I went brushless when I went seperates so I really can't recommend a brushed ESC.

What I can tell you is that accordng to my own testing the stock motor pulls 5.3 amps in a hover and 11 amps at full throttle.

The tail motor pulls 2.4 amps at full right rudder and about half that when just counteracting main rotor torque.

I hope you have another radio to use if your going to stick with the GY401. Although the Axe receiver has six channels, The radio doesn't have a provision to run the sixth channel. Your going to need to be able to hook up the remote gain for the GY401 in order to get it to work right.

I've heard that the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGTY8&P=7]Pixie 7[/link] is a good choice for a tail ESC because of it's programmable throttle range and low volt cut-off. Same for the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGTY9&P=7]Pixie 20[/link] on the main ESC.
