Default Balde pitch?

Is there a simple way to check main blade pitch with out a gauge? What should my pitch be and will adding pitch benefit me? thanks

With the swash plate and flybar leveled, Idle up ON, at 1/2 throttle the blade pitch angles should be level with the flybar.
Full throttle or throttle full down, the blade angles are at the limits. Check for no interference with anything on the shaft or with the servo movement.
You can photograph the setup and look at the photos in a Paint program to read the angles.
