Flybar-less mod is it possible on the Axe CP?
I've seen a few micro and mini helis on other boards without flybars. Is it possible to do that with the Axe CP?
What difference would it make to the helis flight characteristics? What parts are needed and/or not needed? Has anyone had any experience do this? |

I've never done this, but I heard it makes it harder to fly.

Flybars and flaybar paddles act as gyroscopic stabilizer to stabilize flight. RC Helicopters are complicated enough to fly and taking it out will make it even more complex.
There is a video in Helihobby that showcases a flybarless Micro hornet heli. Here's the link: http://www.helihobby.com/html/rc_hel...rs_videos.html It's probably possible to do it, but you have to compensate for the difficulty in flying. Mikado just recently released a flybarless head unit called V-Bar or Virtual Flybar System. This item is almost like the gyro system for the head unit. There are some video in Runryder.com that showcases pilots who use them in 3D aerobatic flight. It flies as if there was a flybar in it. Here's the link for the Mikado V-Bar: http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=5404 |
