Totally Noob ?
Ok just got the axe cp and just started messing with it but seem to be having the same trouble everyone else is, and thats when i just start to get it off the ground a lil its wants to roam around so i have to shut it down and move it again. i've read where people have stated that adding the set of wheel collars on your flybar and by adding Axe CP flybar weights, So what r these things ????
sorry for being such a noob. Another ? i just thought of is, does extending the training gear out help any it doesn't seem like its out far enought to help stable anything. |

[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXK184&P=7]Here are the 1/16" wheel collars.[/link] They do stabilize the bird once it's airborn.
You can make the T-gear longer, but keep in mind the longer the gear is the more it will resonate or vibrate. This will make the bird shake more in flight. It can help at the very beginning, but at some point you will probably want to shorten them again. Good Luck and Welcome! |
RE: Totally Noob ?
Heliko has a good one, also go ahead and add the Blade CP paddles and if you can get hold of a set of JCS plastiblades this will help you out a lot..
if you are thinking of sticking with the hobby - you may want to add an HH gyro, great investment, but you are looking at 150-200 bucks.. that's the down side.. the good side though, if you decide to stick with the hobby and move up, you can move the gyro to your next heli.. |
RE: Totally Noob ?
Strat, I was thinking of trying the JCS blades. Have you used them?

ORIGINAL: Heliko Strat, I was thinking of trying the JCS blades. Have you used them? yeah, I'm really happy with them, they take a good beating and keep going. One set that I have is pretty gouged up, they still fly fine.. these have been totally worth the money, I would've probably trashed a dozen sets of wooden blades in the same period that i've been using these.. |

Take the advice of Strat and Helico, then, it's all up to the thumbs. Takes time and practice to keep your thumbs from throwing the sticks to the pegs every time you try to get th bird back to where it was..... The easiest place to get it is back on the ground, just not always right side up. good luck and keep after it, you'll be glad you did (so will your parts supplier...) |
RE: Totally Noob ?
thanks i will have to try that, now just if i could get the weather to cooperate.
