Axe EZ, is it normal ?
Hello all,
just a fast question: Is it normal that at the start of the flight the rudder subtrim is little to the left with bird steady and during the flight I've to adjust slowly until I have it almost to the right at the end of the flight to keep always the bird steady ? It's not a great problem, but I would like to know if all the EZ's are behaving this way..... Thanks a lot. |
RE: Axe EZ, is it normal ?
yes it's normal. just a result of the batts dieing

RE: Axe EZ, is it normal ?
I think it's more that one motor is running in reverse and getting warmer causing it to slow down but either way it is normal.

RE: Axe EZ, is it normal ?
My biggest issue seems to be the motors losing power or something. My first heli flew great for about 10-12 flights, then it just seemed to hover only about a foot off the ground. My brother-in-laws did that right out of the box, the LHS exchanged his and its been flying great so far. Probably about 8-10 flights so far. They also exchanged mine because the couldn't figure out the problem. My second heli has only been flown 4 times, resting motor and batteries before flying again. Fly's great for the first half of charge, then settles to about an inch or so above the ground for the remaining 4 minutes or so. I've never crashed the heli so I know its not from damage. We've just been having bad luck with these motors for some reason. I've tried my batteries in his heli, works great, so I know its not my batteries. I've read where some people have been flying their Axe EZ's for almost 3 months constantly and not having power issues. Could we have run into a bad batch of these heli's or is there some other problem. I recently bought an Axe CP and now I'm wondering if their motors will go out just as quick. I haven't tried flying it yet, but it is a future concern. Thanks for any info.
