Real Flight G3.5?
I'm off this morning to buy the Real Flight G3.5 sim. Has anyone else had experience with this sim? and is it a good trainer to learn to fly heli's? I figured I'd buy the sim so that I could crash as many times as I want without having to buy parts. then take what I learn on the sim and put it to use on my real bird. any specific's such as settings or trims that would be helpful. I want it to be as real to the touch as my real heli is. Really I'm buying this sim because it has the AXE CP as an available aircraft to fly.

RE: Real Flight G3.5?
Revorash,
I'm using it and for me it's great! I first used it when I had a weekend of rain, instead of flying the CP I played on the sim all weekend, the following week my flying had improved significantly. Currently, I've been a month or so with nothing but the sim, trying to get at least an hour a day on it, I got my MX built over the weekend, put it in the air and have yet to crash it... so, in my opinion, it's well worth the cash! Both the CP and the MX400 seem to be pretty close to real to me.. and besides that, where else can you crash thousands of dollars worth of toy helicopters before breakfast and walk away with a smile on your face and not feel guilty? :D |

RE: Real Flight G3.5?
I too use Realflight 3.5, It is neat sim, clarity and accuracy is awesome, uploaded the Axe cp, Electric Dominion, which I think is the most stable heli available for download from Knife Edge swap pages forum. The Trex's does not fly too well, lol, I actually am doing real well with 3D with this sim. You may also want to checkout FS One, awesome looking graphics

RE: Real Flight G3.5?
how do I change my heli to take the heading hold off?
|
RE: Real Flight G3.5?
I think it's Electronics > Heading Hold Gyro > Heading Hold Mix, change to 0%. To really give your hovering skills a work out, turn up the wind velocity, variation, and gust!

RE: Real Flight G3.5?
Well after my first day I've got to say this has surly paid for it's self already. I've crashed about 1,000 times. and it hasn't cost me one trip to the hobby store... : ) I like the fact that you can upgrade your blades and stuff to carbon fiber. that's a real plus. This is a must for anyone learning to fly. You just have to convince the wife that's it's "MUST HAVE", "SAVE YOU MONEY" in the long run investment.
