Wiring issues with separate ESCs

Well, I took the plunge and went with separate ESC for my Axe. I thought I had everything wired correctly but I'm not getting any power to the Rec'. I have the pos/neg wires from the esc's soldered together to a Deans ultra plug. The Main ECS has the Blue/White wires soldered to bullet connectors and connected to the Main motor, and the three wire plug from the ESC (BEC) is connected to position three on the Rec. The Tail ESC is connected to the Tail motor and to the GY240 which is connected to the Rec'. Maybe someone can check my work. Do I need a power plug to go to position Five on the Rec? Any suggestions would be appreciated

EDIT 1: Yes the BEC fromt he Tail ESC is disabled.

Well, it turns out the reciever is dead. I plugged the BEC connector from the Main ESC into a different reciever and it worked. I tried this with a separate reciever battery pack as well and the other reciever works. Looks like I'm grounded for a while.

Any idea what killed the RX?

you've got a pm dude!

Thanks for the PM bud. Not sure what exactly killed the Rx, but, I think it was a combination of the crash and the new battery. I bought a 910mah LiPo last week and this was its first full flight. I think the crash messed up the 3n1 board which may have spike the current to the Rx. That's really the only thing I can think of. The new ESC works just fine. I plugged the BEC plug into a receiver from one of my cars and it powered up and moved the servo just fine. Would the crystal have anything to do with the power situation? Maybe it destroyed the crystal?

What killed your recvr was feeding BOTH BECs to the recvr. You only need to feed one BEC to the recvr. Disconnect and wrap up the other one.

I said the BEC from the tail ESC is disabled. 1st post.

Only the negative wire is still in the plug, per the Helimax instructions.

Well, you might have spiked the receiver, of course, and if you've tried different power sources and it doesn't work with any of them that's pretty telling. You might want to pop the case and look for physical damage-- sometimes it isn't a component that fails, but instead a solder joint or a trace on the circuit board, and those are easily repaired.

A bad crystal won't stop the receiver from powering up, but it will keep it from receiving a signal, and the two have pretty much the same results. If you can try another crystal it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I missed that. Maybe I replied before your edit. Sorry anyway.
Check the chrystal and the antenna lead then.
