What the heck is this for? Full speed or nothing.

it brings your speed to a constant so you can then use the positive/negative pitch of the rotor blades to control movement..


DISCONNECT THE MOTOR!!!

then turn everything on and plug it in.. look what happens to your swash when you click that button to idle up, I believe it moves up the shaft to allow the +/- of the rotor blades.

StratCat's on the right heading. Idle-up is curved to try and keep the rotor speed constant, and it also changes the pitch curve, usually so you have equal positive and negative pitch available. It's normally used for aerobatics, but higher-end radios have more than one idle-up position. I use mine with normal for hovering and general cruising around, idle-1 for faster, more fun stuff, and idle-2 for full-up aerobatics.

hey man, I was eating, typing and putting a battery pack in the MX... cut me a bit of slack, I got the point across :D

Dude, I was just adding, not replacing :D.

CH-- Here's a test: if you fly regularly, and parts on your heli are less than two weeks old, then don't worry about it right now :).
