Axe CP Receiver Board plug order/sequence
 

Hi,
I am in the process of replacing the receiver board on my Axe CP. I made the unfortunate mistake of pulling off all the plugs and now have no idea where they go. The board has six plug positions and the gyro and orange wire are the only ones I know where they go. Can someone please tell me where the other plugs go?

These are the correct Pin Assignments
xxx Right Rear
xxx Front
xxx Throttle from E- Board
xxx Rudder
xxx Gyro goes here
xxx Orange wire goes in 1st position
xxx Left Rear

I don't know for sure which one is the signal and which side is the ground, but it wont matter, just hook up a servo and test it out to see if it moves, if it doesn't plug it in the other way, it wont ruin anything because of the way they are designed.

If you look on the back of the PCB the grounds are going to all be hooked together and are going to be one of the outside pins. Ground corresponds to the darker conductor on the servo, usually either brown or black.

OK, if Ch 5 is gyro gain, could you use another transmitter that has ch5 and hook it to the gain on a gyro? Or is ch 5 used for something else on an eCCPM heli?

yes you could, as long as it is compatible with the receiver you are using. In the case of the axe it's futaba compatible. You can also use it for other things other than remote gyro gain (such as landing lights or retracts), but that is the most common thing =)

So, CH 5 is not used as part of the eCCPM mixing - right?

Ch5 is not used in the eccpm mixing, you are correct. It is for remote gain of gyro.

After nearly complete disassembly, I found a broken wire that goes to the tail motor. I cut and soldered it back together, put the plug in there proper spots and everything is back to "normal".

Cool - now I need a heli radio (apparently my 6XA can't handle eCCPM - someone please let me know I am wrong!!) and a gyro - now I know I can go with the Futaba

Hello everyone I'm new to this site.I need some information due to my hobby store not being able to assist me. I bought a Heli/MAX model AXEcp and flew it once the battery was full then it died I put it to charge and went back out an hour late when the battier was charged. After turning on and trying to accelerate it caught fire. When I blew out the fire and took the canopy off both receiver and the "E board" were burnt. I went back to my hobby store to purchase replacements for both pieces that were burnt,and even new crystals for receiver and transmitter.I'm still at a loss of what could be wrong if anybody has any other suggestions please write back.

If one of the servo is blown none of the other servos will work?

If my transmitter and receiver in my helicopter indicate 72.870mhz but, my dealer at the hobby store sold me a 72.670mhz will that make a difference?

First, how old is the Axe - it may be in warranty. Secondly, YES, a different freq. crystal will keep it from working! Both the transmitter and receiver need to be on the same frequency.
