Help Connecting Tail Motor to ESC
 

OK my parts came in to install my Gyro, bought everything suggested be HeliMax. When after putting on deans plug and plugging into tail motor should the Blue wire (-) match with the black wire on the to the tail motor. I ask because according to the direction Blue is (-) to the male lead.

Yep, You got it right. The blue wire (-) connects to the black wire on the tail motor, the white wire (+) connects to the red wire on the tail motor (GP C-12 ESC only). I added an additional Deans Micro plug between the ESC and the Tail motor wire, so it could be disconnected.
You'll notice a BIG difference vs the stock set-up.

Thanks, I got that right, for some reason when I Arm the Gyro I get beeps when I plug in the battery, then full right tail rotor I get the beeps then full left and no beeps, give it some power and it spins around, what did I do wrong.

OK , got it,the tie raps might have pinched a wire, on Sunday I'll start making adjustments. Do I have to add the resisters that came with the ESC? do I need to adjust anything on the receiver?

Nope, there should be disk-capacitors already soldered to the tail-motor. If not solder at least 2 on, solder from the Positive (+) terminal to the outer case of the tail-motor, & from the Negitive (-) terminal to the outer case of the tail-motor, if you have a capacitor left over, you could go from positive (+) to negitive (-) as well, these eliminate motor-noise.

When you plug the battery-in wait 5 seconds, and you'll hear (beep,beep,beep) from the tail-motor (ready to arm), Push the TX stick for the tail to full RIGHT & hold, you'll hear (beep,beep,beep,beep), then go full LEFT & hold, you'll hear (beep,beep,beep). Tail-motor ESC is now ARMED, and will start ON ITS OWN, unless you hold the TX stick to full LEFT when trying to move the helicopter.

Thanks Rick, still only flying about 6' in the air until I get the hang of it. When I want to bypass the gyro do I have to re-plug the tail motor and disconnect the Gyro from the receiver or is there an easier way

I can't understand why you would want to disable the HH gyro, but if you did & still wanted to keep the C-12 ESC installed in your AXE.

Then unplug the tail-motor from the ESC (white & blue wires), & reconnect tail-motor to the 3in1. Unplug the C-12 ESC from the RX, move orange wire (from 3in1), up one spot (where C-12 ESC was). Wrap some electrical tape around white & blue leads from ESC, they'll still have power if C-12 is soldered to battery connector (Deans plug).
Turn on TX, plug in battery in AXE, wait for 3in1 to arm, fly it for awhile (fighting the tail) and realize the stock RATE GYRO SUCKS!
Reverse the order above, & stay with the GY240, you'll be happier in the end!
