Intermittent Throttle
What i have
AXE CP GY401 with the c12 ESC dx7 with AR6000 Here are the connections: 1. BAT port - not connected 2. THR - connected to ESC/3 in 1 3. AILE - connected to Right Rear Servo 4. ELE - connected to Front Center Servo 5. RUD - Connected to Gyro 6. GER - Connected to Gyros sensitivity switch (yellow wire) 7. AUX - connected to Left Rear Servo I connected everything up and found a thread on the forums on how to setup the dx7. I set it all up and it all looked good. Now it was time to test with the motors connected. When I turned it on the tail seemed to work fine but to main rotor was intermittent. I would give it a little throttle just to get the blades to spin and it would start and stop continuously. Can anyone help? |
RE: Intermittent Throttle
This has happened before, but not sure if they resolved the problem. Is your battery fully charged? What size is it?

RE: Intermittent Throttle
Just off the charger lipo 11volt 940ma.
I called support and they said that the TX might not be compatible with the stock 3 in 1 but I have read many threads where people have the dx7 with the 3 in 1 installed. Do you think it is possible that there is something wrong with the 3 in 1. |
RE: Intermittent Throttle
You really have to look at everything, but the compatability with the DX7 is not it.
I ran mine with the 3 in 1 for months with no problems. Yes, it could be a problem with the main's ESC on the 3 in 1. It could be a connection problem, or a Tx programming problem, or a motor problem, or ??? Do you have a DMM and any electrical troubleshooting experience? You have to start identifying what IS good and worik from there. |
RE: Intermittent Throttle
Well I disconnected everything from the RX except for the 3 in 1 since the power was coming from that anyway that was all I needed to test and still no luck. Even with the throttle at zero I get a pulse of power to the main blades every second and then a second of no power and that just repeats over and over unless I put the TX into throttle hold which is set for -10%. Since I have the second ESC for the gyro I enabled the BEC on that lead and connected that lead and the 3 in 1 to the RX only and disabled the BEC on the 3 in 1 and still no luck. Since the RX was now being powered by the Gyro lead I disconnected the 3 in 1 and connected a regular server to the throttle connection and it seemed to work fine. I could even see the exponential curve that I had setup in the TX when going from 0% throttle to 100%. I even tried using a brand new 3 in 1 that I has purchases as a spare and no luck with that either.
I believe you when you say that you and others had it working but maybe something has changed with the 3 in 1 unit or the RX/TX. I really don’t know. I might just use this as a reason to get with a brushless mail motor which would require me to get a separate ESC anyway. I would still rather get this working so I anyone can think of something else I could try please let me know. |
