Heading Gyro

Will a Eflite G110 Gyro lock work on a Axe CP, also is the wiring the same??
Thanks

RE: Heading Gyro

I'm using it on mine. The wiring is different than the stock Axe. You will have to run a separate Speed control to the tail motor.

Do some research here on the forums.

RE: Heading Gyro

Al,

Yes with the additional esc it will work but from esperience I would tell you to not do it. There are a few posts on here from us that have tried and we are all mildly successful at best. We were all doing it on the cpv3 so maybe you will have better luck. I ended up taking mine out and going back to stock. Heli hasn't flown the same since the lobatomy. If you do it post the results

RE: Heading Gyro

I did it on mine i used a colco gy400 HH gyro, tower pro 12a brushless esc, and a GP brushless ammo 12-30-3850 motor with the stock cpv3 tail prop and heat sink and it works excellent (tail motor doesnt even get warm!). The tail holds well but I still have a little fiddling to do with the gyro gain (still ossilates a tiny bit when i punch it in either direction) but other than that 30x better than before.
