LPM/ESC Question (CPv3)

I seem to have blown my LPM (when i bypass it i can get the rotors to turn, if not, nothing). I had already ordered a brushless ESC/MOTOR combo for the main and tail motors. Do ESCs have Lipo protection built in or will i still need the LPM that came with the three in one. Please forgive me if this seems like a dumb question. I'm a newb to Helis (and brushless. my cars are all gas). I also ordered a HH GYRO (futuba 240). i only need the receiver (no 3in1) with this setup right?

Your battery might be low. The LPM will cut power to the motor if the battery gets low.

Most have protection built in. You can either use this, but only if it slowly cuts the motor and doesn't immediately stop, OR just use a timer and only use 80% of the capacity of the battery and turn off the protection.

Right. However, you will need a second ESC to run the tail motor from the gyro. Be sure and disconnect the red wire from this ESC to eliminate the BEC (battery eliminator circuit)

RE: LPM/ESC Question (CPv3)

Either the battery is going bad or the LPM has failed cause the battery was fully charged. i tried it a few times. Thanks for the info, you have been a big help.
