Lawrence,
thanks for the reply, the motor started after few pulls and idle very nice - 1 st start in 20 - 30 y . blades : main - align carbon fiber 800 mm , tail - align 450 main blades carbon fiber cut to 120 mm same length as the original 120 mm wood blades.
I may try her this comeming weekend , will keep you posted.
by the way go to site : air star international - they manufacture giant scale heli and parts in California , the owner is a friend of mine . he has all the parts for my engine and also about 100 new engines like mine.also blades and stuff .
check it out and watch the video's. if you need parts let me know ,
regards
Isaac

Hi Isaac,
I also cut trex 450 main blades into 130mm tail blades
for my Bell 47G
Yes, seems like there is ntohing that air star cannot manufacture! I am indeed having a hard time to find spare main gear for my Hirobo Bell 47G.
it is old version which uses hlical gear (as shown in photos). they have used straight cut gear in later Bell 47G version hence I cannot find a spare helical gear. Also, the one way bearing in the main gear was playing up last time I flew her so maybe I can ask your help to see if air star can actually provide a new main helical gear unit with one way bearing.
is your Hirobo using helical main gear as well?
cheers and have fun with her maiden flight after more than 20= years![8D]

LAWRENCE, I WILL CHECK AROUND IF I CAN FIND YOU THE GEAR. MINE USE DIFFERENT MECHANICS. LOOKS LIKE EVERY THING SEALED IN THE GEAR BOX . I DO HAVE EXTRA GEAR BUT IT IS STRAIGHT NEWER VERSION .
I LET YOU KNOW IF I FIND SOME. I HAVE ANOTHER FRIEND WHO USED TO WORK FOR GMP/HIROBO IN LOS ANGELES , HE MAY HAVE SOME PARTS.

Thanks Isaac,
to be a little off topic, I will try to tune my hirobo shuttle plus in a Ecureuil fuselage this weekend.
It has OS37 which is really fuel thirsty!! I will try to tame down the throttle curve and see if that improve on fuel consumption. way too quick to drain the shuttle fuel tank.
Now I miss my Bell 47 g 20c.c. half a little seems to fly forever!!
have fun with your nice bird!
Cheers.

I don't have the Manuel , but it is not difficult to set up . It is not a 3 d Helli so any experience Helli pilot can help you out . e mail me some interior pics of the engine and if it is the same as mine I will try to help you in starting up . I have not fly mine yet .
my e -mail [email protected]
good luck,
Isaac

Hya guys
I've just bought a hirobo 47g and im pretty sure it has the HGE-20EH ENGINE. I've just spent about 2hrs trawling the internet for manuals for the engine and the helli. I know its been a few years since this conversation but would it be possible for one of you guys to send me a copy of the manuals for either helli or engine.
Best regards justin
