Shuttle zxx boom strike

Hello
I am new here and happy to find someplace to come for help.
I bought a Shuttle zxx a few years ago and only flew it a very short time before I put it up on the shelf.
Recently I tried to fly it, guess I needed the training wheels back on. Anyway long story short .. boom strike.
I live in the Orlando FL area and used to go to Graves RC a lot. I went and got a crash kit from them and come home to find I need more parts and that I know even less about helicopters than I thought. I really would like to find someone in the area to help me put it back together and help set it back up, Or at least take a look and tell me what I need so I can get it in one trip. I would rather put the money in parts and not have to pay someone to fix it.
I used to fly planes out here on my property but have put a mobile home on the runway, still lots of room for heli...

thanks
seabee

Your best bet is to find a flying club in your area or ask the guys at your LHS to help you out. If you have any specific questions about it you could post on here and get a pretty good reply that should help you out as well. For the parts that you didn't get I prefer to order stuff from heliproz.com.

I would go back to Graves and ask them for some help or ask them where the local field is and go there. Many times you will find someone there to help. :)

Do you have specific questions on fixing it?

Do you have diagrams to reference?

Jeff

RE: Shuttle zxx boom strike

Thanks for the replies. Just a few problems.. The local field is not very local and Graves RC kinda far..
I went back to graves and they do not carry many shuttle parts. Thanks to this site I did find and download a manual and parts list.
I bought a crash kit from Graves and ordered all the other parts I think I need online. I put the shuttle together when it was new so I think I can trade out the parts. Hopefully I can find someone local to help adjust it. If not I apologize ahead of time for all the dumb newbie questions I will have...

thanks
