A second Aurora or an EclipseorOptic 6 are preferred slaves as the trims and mixes are mostclosely aligned to an Aurora, refer:
Aurora: Trainer / Buddy system Master & Slave function Set-up.for detail of connections and set up.

Be aware that there may be some problems surface with the newer Futaba 4/6 ch 2.4 Ghz Futaba systems as they do with other Futaba systems.
Futaba should not be used as a slave with Heli as trims/mixes are different.

Default RE: Which radios can Hitec Aurora 9 buddy box to?

Hi Alan,

Thanks, I have a conversion cord from JR to Hitec/Futaba that reorganizes the channels. From what I read, I can assume I can use a JR to Aurora using this cable.

I was hoping the new Aurora 9 would have a programming option to select which Tx you want to make your slave, then just plug in the proper slave cable. I wanted to be able sell my JR but still be able to buddy box to JR or any other Tx I wanted to. It appear this can not be done.

Thanks for your help.

The HAN173 JR/Futaba adaptercable is not compatible with the Aurora (no power supply from either end).
Have tried several methods to operate with JR but no worhtwhile result to date.
You could try adapting GWS - Buddy (Trainer) to Hitec, Futaba, JR & Sanwa( aka Airtronics).,not yet proven.
