Hi,
I understand that the new Aurora 9 can be used as a 2.4Ghz or 72Mhz.
Can you tell me how this is done? That is, is it easy to swap the modules, or are there other hardware changes such as antenna?
Also, if you are buying an Aurora 9 for the first time, and want to use it to fly on both 2.4Ghz and 72Mhz, which transmitter should you buy originally that will be easiest convert back and forth to the other frequency?
Thanks for your help.

The 72 Mhz module for the Aurora should be available before the end of the year so currently the only radio option to buy would be the 2.4 version. When converting back and forth you will need to remove the 2.4 antenna and module from the radio and plug in the 72 module and screw in the long 72 Mhz antenna into the radio.

Hi Brendan,
Is changing the antennae a big deal, or can it be easily changed at the field?
Thanks for your help.

It can be done at the field. Takes less that a minute to swap over.
The top portion of the 2.4 antenna snaps into the bottom portion which is threaded into the radio, so just unsnap the top portion, unscrew the base section and pull it out of the radios antenna hole. Screw the 72 Mhz antenna down into the hole and pop in the 72 module into the back of the radio. It probably takes longer to read this than it does to perform it.
