Default Recommendation for HD servo?

I am in the process of finalizing a bid/configuration for a large (12-14'), heavy (35-50 lb) test bed aircraft for a US aircraft developer. The plane will be a high wing, stable type configuration with ailerons, elev, rudder and flaps. Propulsion will be electric to begin, converting to IC later. My question is which Hitec servo would you recommend for this configuration. I would prefer to stay with single servo per control surface if possible, maybe 2 on rudder. Control will be via 2.4G Tx/Rx, with 2 lipo/regulators powering the receiver and servos.

thanks

Not enough information is given about the aircraft to be able to give any kind of recommendation.

The plane will be very similar to the AMR Loadmaster 100, here's a link to information about the plane. The designer recommends using servos over 200 oz/in.

High wing, relatively slow, non aerobatic use. Will probably end up being approx 50 lb at the end of the development stage.

Currently am considering the HS-5805MG but am very open to other suggestions.

If you are already looking at the 5805MG then your other option would be the 5755MG. Torque and speed is about the same but the 5755MG is slightly smaller (more true of a 1/4 scale size servo) and is a little lighter with tripple ball bearings for support on the gears and has the heatsink center case to help draw heat away from the motor.

Brendan,

thanks for the recommendation. Will look at the 5755 also.
