Default QPCM FAil-Safe

Mike: I am concerned about the QPCM Fail-Safe setting on my Eclipse 7. The Fail-Safe was on. I had pre-set the throttle to idle, and rudder to a very small amout of right. When I lost control, the throttle went to idle, the plane stalled and spun in to the right.

I checked with others at the field to see if someone turned on, but no one had the channel. I suspect that I got hit out there and that the fail-safe worked properly. I guess I am asking for re-assurance.

How do you recommend I test the fail-safe to make certain it is properly engaged? Right now I am very nervous about using it.

Phil

Default RE: QPCM FAil-Safe

If you turn off the transmitter the receiver will go into failsafe. You might want to add a little up elevator too.

It's hard to way what happened. You can always send the unit in and we can check it out.

Mike.
