Default Scan Mode Aurora9 ?

OK, so if I get this straight the "Scan Mode" function on my radio is obsolete(I never managed to make it work). So I updated my module with the HPP22 to version 3.something and now what? We are having a lot of issues at my field and I need the most secure connection possible!! I had that weird temporary loss of control with my Optic6 and thus upgraded to the Aurora9.
So do I need to change something to the "new scan mode" ?

Scan mode was not straightforward to use so that has been replaced by a scan function
which allows user to find best set for a particular field - but remember that all other
transceivers must also be updated.

OK, so I need to send all my receivers back to be updated, I have already been told that.
So could you simplify it for me.
We are having a lot of interference problems at our field and I really need the best link possible.

AT, only 6 channel RX have to go back right? The 7 and 9s are user updated via the HPP-22.

I sent my Optima6 receiver back along with my Optic6 Sport radio after my loss of control and they said the only issue was the firmware needed updating. They didn't say that the firmware caused the loss of control but they couldn't pin it down. They also said I have to send in all my Optima6 receivers for updating because the HPP22 cant do it. Them not finding an issue has me leery of using this radio and receiver. It was extremely uncomfortable watching my brand new plane fly off on its own.

Did you have fail safe set on your RX for this plane? Batteries good?

Battery is excellent and very high output. Fail safe is factory default, last position hold.

No fail safe has to be set up for each model. Look at the manual

No fail safe has to be set up for each model. Look at the manual. Around page 16-18 or so.

. Upgrade Optima 6 - Is It required?
Question was put to QA Korea 22Nov11 with response:
"Doubt upgrade would impact on Optima 6 used with EP Models - as advised, change related

Mike updated my Optima6(the one that lost contact and almost lost my plane) and advised me to send in my others. I have been testing my updated Optima6 and tested radio on my Slow Stick and have seen no issues with it despite flying in a very 2.4 populated area.
