Eclipse7 w/Spectra Module
I am looking to buy a Hitec Eclipse 7 with the Spectra module as a transmitter solution. I go to many fly-ins with 30+ pilots and frequently someone is sharing my channel. I like the security offered by being able to switch channels. I have a couple of questions before I buy your transmitter. I currently have a Futaba 6 channel (non-computer) radio and I'm also interested in the multiple plane convenience a computer radio offers.
1. Can the Hitec Eclipse7 w/Spectra safely drive my existing Futaba (FM) recievers?
2. In order to change the channel I'm transmitting on, I know that I need to dial it in on the Spectr module. What must I do with the reciever? Do I just swap reciever crystals for the new channel?
thanks!

Yes to both questions. The only thingyou need to worry about is that, on Futaba recievers, you should stay in either the high or low range of frequencies. Futaba tunes their receivers for two ranges, the top half of available frequencies or the low half.

Just want to make sure I got what you said... If my existing Futaba reciever is for ch. 52, then I should stay within the top half of the channel spectrum and avoid the lower numbered channels?
thanks!
