The New 635HB Speed & Torque
#1

Mike,
I understand that the 635HB is the recommended replacement for the HS-605 BB. The 605BB was 77 in.oz. at .16 sec./ 60 deg. The new 635HB is only 69 in.oz. at .18 sec. / 60 deg. I am interested in your commentary on the shift in performance specifications. Was this necessary in order to achieve some new characteristic for the 635HB?

If the new 635's center better than the 605 than it worth to loss a little torque and a little speed.
I have 2 605's I bought new. None of them center good after about 30 flights. Send them back and hitec sent me new ones, the old ones had bad amplifiers. the new ones where just as bad.
I am thinking about buying me a new 635 and see how it does.

The 635's use our new I.C. which offers a tigher deadband for better centering, and finer resolution for more presice control. I was very pleased with the 635 when doing the testing.

When will they be available, and would you recommend them for a Goldberg Extra 300 with a 91fx engine.
I will be putting a servo in each wing, one for each elevator half, and one for the rudder.
Would you go with the 5475 digitals instead.
Thanks for your help.

They have started shipping in small qty's and should be more redily availale later this month. The 4575's are a good choice too and it depends on how you intend to fly the plane. For 3D flying I would probably go with the 635's on the tail feathers at least due to the higher torque and speed.
