Here is how to setup a Hitec Flash 5X radio for a powered sailplane with two ailerons, v-tail with rudder/elevator (2 servos), and a motor with a Hitec 555 receiver. According to Hitec:
I hope you have the Flash 5X version and not the original Flash 5 for setting this up.
Glide Acro mode
Right aileron – channel 1
Left aileron – channel 5
Right side of v-tail – channel 2
Left side of v-tail channel 4
(the v-tail channels may need to be reversed depending on the servos orientation in the setup of the model)
Throttle – channel 3
Turn on the V-Tail mix
For spoilerons use the FLPT 1 menu (activated by switch #3) and put a percentage in for channels 1 and 5 to reflex the ailerons up for landing. Channel 2 in this menu is the elevator compensation for when the spoilerons are deployed.
