CRASH DAVIS

Mike hitec service,

i have a focus 6

im having trouble with ch 1 right stick, left right cylic.

radio glitch, powered up tx then rx with no stick movement

the hs81 servo goes crazy. with rapid cycling back an forth an buzzing.

then bound up at one end of its stroke still buzzing .

thinking i had stripped a gear i opened the servo up

an the output gear was stripped. i replaced the gears an tried it again, an it did

the same thing.an stripped the output gear. ouch

then i tried it with a standard size servo an it went crazy an buzzing but did not strip the gears.

now im thinking i have an rx or a tx problem.

i also have a focus 4 an 2 hitec receivers

so i did some troubleshooting by swapping back an forth between rx 's an tx's, an determined that there is a problem with the focus 6. it glitches on both rx's

with the focus 4 , no glitch on both rx's



the symtom described ,what do you think is wrong with my tx?



is there anything i can try , to fix this?

before i send it in for repair



what would be a typical cost to repair this tx?

help
i took your advice an sent my tx an rx to hitec service
to have checked out.
shipped it ups store 1/16/04
cost me $16.59 to ship it to hitec [:'(]
checked tracking hitec got it 1/22/04
1/28/04 i emailed hitec to check status
brendan emailed me back 1/29/04
"Hello
We have received your radio. Our tech will probably be working on this order today.
Regards,Brendan Lugo"
then i received a hitec postcard 1/30/04 stating hitec had recieved it.
havent heard anything since
2/5/04 ups dropped a package off from hitec [:-] is it christmas
i opened the box theres my focus 6 an rx, but wait
where is my tx antenna [X(] rumaging through the packing paper
its not in the box!
i cant wait, i took the antenna of my focus 4 an put it on the focus 6
to try it out
put a servo on rx ch1 plugged battery in powered up
guess what,
its doing the same thing [&o],
buzzing servo erratic movement binding up
ch 2,3,4 same servo works fine
well what does the service ticket say
"recalibrate gimble" thats it, thats all it says about the tx
what does that mean

whats up mike i expected some hitec service! [&o]

is that my antenna on your desk, you had a big board meeting an
an your using my antenna as a pointer arent you LOL

seriously mike i need some help to get these problems resolved
i can say this i was not charged for the gimble calibration
an it was shipped back to me at no charge.
an for that i am thankful
