Hi Hitec folks,
I currently have a Hitec Neon 3ch FM tx which I'm using with my electric park flyers. Today my 8yr old daughter almost lost my T-IFO in a treetop, so I've been thinking of getting another Hitec tx and a trainer cord. I'm just a novice myself, but thinking someday about flying electric helis. So I'm thinking I should buy a computer tx that would be good for helicopter control, yet also good for fixed wing electrics. Any recommendations?
Also, I'm not sure what hardware I'd need to link my new tx to my Neon tx. I've heard about trainer cords, is that all I'd need, one especially made for linking two Hitec txes?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Steve V.

If you are thinking about helicopters, then look into the Hitec eclipse http://www.hitecrcd.com/Radios/RadioHome.htm
Your Neon may not have a trainer port on it, but I just read the manual (reading the manual help's sometimes
), it seems as though a trainer port is available for that radio. The manual tell's you how to install it.
With these two radios and a trainer cord you MAY be able to do just what you described.
I say you May be able to do it, but you should check with Hitec service to see if these two radios will work on a trainer cord without issues.

Thanks Jemo,
for your reply to my query about the trainer cord option on my Neon tx. I checked my Hitec Neon tx and found only space inside, where the trainer cord would be plugged in. Looks like the Neon right off the shelf doesn't support the trainer cord, although there is space inside to install the plug.
Anyway, I'll contact Hitec Service as you suggested, and see about buying the trainer plug you mentioned that might be just what I need to install on my Neon tx.
