Hitec crystals

I have a Hitec Supreme Receiver RCD 3600 JR The crystal is on channel 39 and the tag has a purple colored band. I noticed that my other Hitec crystals have a blue band. Question is there a difference? Can I use this crystal in my 555 receivers? All my 555 's have blue band crystals

Hi Al,
The purple tags were from older D/C X-tals. They will work fine in the 555.
