Default Transmitter Failsafe??

A flier at the field today lost a plane shortly after takeoff. He said that as soon as he realized that he had no control, he looked down at his transmitter, and it said it was in failsafe mode. It is an Eclipse model radio. My question is how does the transmitter know whether it is in failsafe or not? Seems to me that it would have to have some type of feedback from the reciever to know that. Or have a reciever in the tranny to pick up the signal noise.

The Eclipse does not have failsafe.

In any case... failsafe occurs in the receiver, not the transmitter.

Mike.
