Default Flash 5 Mode Conversion

Hi,

I have a Hitec Flash 5 radio that I converted from Mode 2 to Mode 1, This was pretty straight foward but I have a question regarding the digital trims, Do you have to change anything inside or with the software? I cannot give the transmitter any "up" elevator trim! (left stick) I can give full down trim (-100%) it just won't allow any positive trim. the Throttle stick has full trim capability (+/-100%) I am guessing this is something to do with swapping the Elevator and Throttle sticks??

Any help?
Thanks

Patrick

Default RE: Flash 5 Mode Conversion

This technical information is well beyond our knowlwegde base. However it sounds like a software issue as the elevator stick and trim is associated with working around neutral verses at the low throttle end-point...

Contact Tony at Hitec Service, he maybe able to shed some additional info on the subject.

Hi Patrick,

In one of the menus, you will find a screen that shows ST with a 1 or 2 above it. By using the cut button, make sure the number is 1. If this is an older unit your then must save it by going to the SA screen and pressing the cut button again. If it is a system X then you can turn off the radio and it is ready to go.

I did this and it worked perfectly. (I did notice the menu said SE - with the E missing the top line, not ST)

Thanks,
Patrick
