Default Feather Receiver & Sanwa Tx

Hi! Mike

First of all here is my Configuration:
Tx Sanwa (old) Pcm 6p 6channel 41Mhz (41.020Mhz crystal)
Rx Hitech Feather receiver /Single conv. 40Mhz (41.020 crystal)!

I use the above configuration to fly my LiteStik

The problem is that I have a dramatically reduced range (18-20meters)

As you have noticed I'm using my Sanwa Rx crystal at 41.020Mhz
although the hitech feather is at 40Mhz range!
I was thinking that was not a problem (or MAY BE IT IS?)
Would it be better to have a hitech crystal at 40Mhz range (on the receiver) and put a 40Mhz range on my Sanwa Tx too??

PS: what exactly is the job for theese crystals, as
I can figure out they have the roll of some kind of "filltering"
for the oscillator circuit on Rx & Tx?

Regards,
Alexander

I would suggest you use the Hitec single conversion crystal only. This may solve your problem.

If it is 40mhz then changing to 41mhz will affect the performance.

Default Feather Receiver & Sanwa Tx

Hi! Mike

Here we are ...back again!
After a loong search to find a suitable crystal to match hitec feather receiver to my Sanwa Transmitter I come to the following
conclusion:

My hitec has a 40.675Mhz crystal. The only Sanwa crystals I have found is 40.670 , 40.680 ,e.t.c (10Khz step)
I also noticed that hitec crystal is at 40.675 ...50.685. e.t.c
Is that right??? or I miss something???!!!??

Thanks Mike
What solution Do you suggest?

Mike,

Is there a way of finding a 41.020Mhz Hitec crystal (single conv.)
or a 40.670Mhz one? (I own an original 40.675Mhz hitec crystal)

or ,is there a way of re-tuning my feather receiver at 41Mhz band?

Thanks
Alexander

Since we don't import any 40mhz equipment into the US, I don't know. Where do you live?

Mike.
