Default HS-125 oil leak

Mike,

I have 2 HS -125 servo. I noticed one thing on the HS-125 servo I try to install last weekend. I lay the servo down on the wing and noticed a oil spot after I pick up the servo. There is a oil seeping out around the label. I tried to remove the label to get more thinner to fit the servo in the stabilizewr. The label just popped off when I picked at it with a knife. I found the back of the label was oil soaked, either from the motor or the feed back pot openning on the case. Is this the grease liquified or something else??

I wonder how this will affect the feed back potentiometer? Since oil and carbon dust can form a nice abbrasive compound and remain within the pot casing.

Any Idea??

Brian

I have no idea... there should be no oil in the servo. The only thing I can think of is the servo grease?

I'll check into it further.

Mike.
