I need advice here. I'm in the market for a new radio. I always used Futaba and presently fly with the T6XAs. I have two quarter scale and two 91 size planes.
I am going to purchase one of the Hitec radios.....I am just undecided which one to buy as I don't have any experience with them. So I started this thread for information on these two radios and any advise will be appreciated on which one to buy.
Thanks for all replies in advance.
Cheers.

I have both I use the ecplipse more only had the optic about 3mo
it depends on how many ch you need . the ecplipse will not
support duel elevator servos and is not as creative with mixes
and switch assignment but has the extra ch.

Thanks for your reply. I would like to have support for dual elevator. It is a problem with my present radio. Would the Optic 6 allow me to fly with Futaba receivers? What about flaps, elevator mixing etc.....is one radio better than the other for these. I'm not interested in the heli or sail-plane part of these radios....just the acro. I also just need the six channels. I find that if I do need 7 channels...I can always use a Y-harness.
Cheers.

Sounds like the Optic 6 would fit your requirements better. It does support a dual elevator setup and flaps. You can check out the manual here.
