Default Antenna Question

Because of space problems in a scale project a friend is building for me, he has decided that the best place to mount the Hitec receiver is in the removable wing. It is no big deal for servo leads - the wing has flaps, ailerons and throttle servos - the fuselage only has elevator and rudder plus the battery and switch - we were wondering if there is a technical reason that the antenna couldn't be routed in the fuselage and use a connector to connect and disconnect like a servo. Now I assume there is a real good technical reason for not doing this, but neither of us know what it is and figured you could tell us. Thanks.

Default RE: Antenna Question

That would be fine to do as long as the wing is not carbon fiber (blocks RF).
