I just bought a used evo 12 fixed freq. tranmitter and was wondering if it can be updated to a synthesize transmitter? If so how much and do I have to send it in.

No conversion required the EVO modules are user freindly. A synth module is around $100.00 I beleive, you can also utilize the frequency scanner with this TX about $100.00 in addtion to the synth module.

Then you are saying That I would have to buy two seperate items, the scanner and the synth. module for around two hundred, or can you get the synth module and scanner as one unit together If I would want both?

The synth and scanner module are two seperate items. You need the synth module to utilize the scanner module.
