Hello
I am JR user but i would be whilling to try Hitech on my next project. It would go in a 33% plane, 2x 5645MG /aileron on Y wires. I do not want to invest in the Hitech programmer and the rx will be JR, PCM 649 rx.
Questions:
1) I have heard the digital 56xx Hitecs have almost 2x the consumption of the JRs. Can you discuss about that please? Should i oversize the RX pack?
2) Any issues to use 2 servos on the same control surface without programmer?
Daniel

Without any kind of load on the servo, it will draw about 450mA when moving. With a load it is more but will vary depending on the pressure. I would suggest going to as high a capacity battery pack as can fit in the plane. Being that it is a 33%, try at least a 2400mA or more.
Using a y-harness will not be a problem.

Hitecs digitals don't consume any more power than like products of others. If you make a comparison of this the 5645 compared to a precision coreless digital you'll note there is a difference, then again this is a sport digital with a 3-pole cored This specific servo @ 6.0V draws 3ma at idle and as Tony noted 450ma working no load.
