Dear Mr Ask Mike at Hitec
What would cause the amplifier to go bad on a 635 HB servo?? I had two, nib, 635 fail. The work order included in the return box indicated “bad amplifiers”. Could I have somehow caused the amplifiers to fail??

There are a few thing that could cause the amplifiers to go out. Some are: Servo stalling, reverse battery polarity, crash damage causing servo to stall, motor failure. What are you using the servos on?

Thank for the response Tony,
I'm using these servos for ailerons on a Model Tech 90 size Giles. As I noted, these servos were brand new, and I suspect I may have installed the battery plug backwards causing the amplifiers to fry. Something bad had to happen to cause both new servos to fail at the same time.
