Default Question on jittery servo’s

Mike I am using a Hitec receiver in a gas powered boat, I have found that if I touch any metal parts on the boat or even on the bench next to it with metal the servo’s jitter, why is happening?

It only occurs when the TX is turned on. It does not happens when only receiver is left on.

I have tried three different TX s of different brands and the same effect occurs.

Default Question on jittery servo’s

Metal to metal contact has always been known to cause havoc with R/C systems. That is very common however, a dual conversion receiver will be less likely to be affected than a single conversion. Do you know what receiver you are using?

Default Question on jittery servo’s

Mike it’s a HP2RNB receiver it would only be a single conversion.

I just find it strange that it causes so much interference when I touch a screwdriver to metal even on the bench, I was wondering why this happens only when the TX is turned on.

It is not uncommon, that is why people go to great pains to make sure there is no metal to metal contact in their vehicles.

Mike.
