Default Hitec 3 Channel 27MHz Receiver HAS-3MB AM

I have a Hitec 3 Channel 27MHz Receiver HAS-3MB AM that the Antenna is the same length as a airplane. Is it possible to cut this antenna? I am using it in a Duratrax Firehammer. It is so long that it will get caught in the wheels or some other moving part if I either don't cut it or ball half it up in the receiver box.

Thanks
Doug

Cutting the antenna lead is NOT a good idea. Most popular method is to wrap the antenna around a small piece of plastic or wood (3/4"x1-1/2"x1/4" or so). Start at one end and systematically wrap semi loosely.

Surface 75MHZ length Rx antennas are 18" long. 27 MHZ RX ??? should be the same as 75 MHZ. Air 72MHZ Rx antennas are 36" long. So if it is lnger than 18" its OK. BUT check with the MFG. before doing so.
