I'm an expat living and working in China and new to RC.
I am looking to buy from the US or Canada as I have not been able to find a good store in Guangzhou or Hong Kong yet.
How do I change the band to be legal in China and when I move back to Australia in a couple of years how do I change again?
Thanks

You would need to get a radio like the Eclipse with a module so you can just change it and the receiver to the band that is legal wherever you go.

Mike thanks for the prompt reply. As a newbie I have a lot of questions but I guess most starting out do.
Do you know what frequency is required for China?
When I find out the correct frequency am I able to order the correct frequency set up for Tx & Rx (crystal or spectra module) from a US or Canadian store or where in Hong Kong or China?
Would you recommend an Eclipse with the Spectra module for China? Would I then need another Spectra module for Australia?
What is actually/physically changed to change frequency in the Tx and Rx? Does changing the Spectra module mean changing "the crystal" in each Rx? What does using a Spectra module and changing the frequency mean for changes to the RX? I have read elsewhere about sending units in for tuning, so I am a little confused.
Is Surface and Air different? I want to run a Stadium Truck and an Electric powered Glider.
What Rx for truck and glider?
What steering servo for a RC10T3 Factory Team?
What ESC, suit truck and glider (if possible)?
What else required, switch, harness, micro servos for glider?
I hope you can answer or point me some resources as I don't have a helpful, knowledgable person in a store here in China.

Yikes... you were kidding about a lot of questions!
Actually I don't know what band they use in China. You can only get 72mhz in the US and Canada for aircraft use as well as the Spectra module. Surface uses 75mhz so you cannot use the same radio for both. No, the ESC's are not the same.
Mike.
