5945 Digital Puzzle
Hi Mike:
I've been using 8 of the 5945 Hitec servos on a H9 33% Cap for about 200 flights. Recently, the 4 aileron servos are acting peculiar. Servos about 1 year old.
The symptoms:
1. variable roll rate. Sometimes the ailerons act like they've greatly reduced the amount of throw slowing the roll rate.
2. Hesitation on aileron command. Sometimes the ailerons don't respond for a quarter second, then start to roll the plane.
3. On the ground, everything appears normal.
The setup:
Futaba R129 PCM receiver, 2 radicalRC HDY-harness into chnl 1 and chnl 6, 4 JR HD (not buffered, not amplified) extensions into the individual aileron servos. Two 2700 mAH NiMH 5-cell packs into 2 JR HD gold switches in parallel into the receiver. the problems occur even on fresh charged packs, 5-cell or 4-cell.
Any ideas?

Diablo- There have been some reports of problems when using y-harnesses so I am curious what Y-harness you were using that caused the probem. Can you give me some more info so that I may use it to help other customers in the future?
Mike.

The Y-harnesses that were causing problems were sold by RadicalRC. They are heavy duty, and have a plastic box where the 3 leads are connected. I don't know if the connections are crimped or soldered inside the plastic box.
They were replaced with Hobbico Y-harnesses, which so far are working just fine.
